Organisers said the Saturday launch along Court Avenue drew thousands and featured a record 305 vendors spread across 12 city blocks.
Market manager Elizabeth Weyers said vendors had prepared for months, while shoppers said the event boosts downtown foot traffic, small businesses and community ties.
The market offers produce, flowers, baked goods, crafts and hot breakfast items, and will run every Saturday from 7am to noon through the end of October.
