The Boston Celtics star was scratched less than two hours before Saturday's Eastern Conference quarterfinal decider against the Philadelphia 76ers, after being listed questionable earlier in the day.
Coach Joe Mazzulla said Tatum had discomfort behind his knee and is day-to-day, after the forward left Thursday's 106-93 Game 6 loss with 4:03 left in the third quarter.
Boston had led the series 3-1 before dropping Games 5 and 6; the Celtics are 32-0 after taking a 3-1 lead, while Philadelphia is 0-18 when trailing 3-1.
