Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said the 565-page report followed President Donald Trump's order and cited FBI monitoring of Catholic priests and an IRS denial of tax-exempt status.
The report also alleges school board parents were treated as threats, vaccine-mandate religious objections were dismissed, and the Civil Rights Division sidelined Christians in favour of other groups.
Blanche said the current administration is dismantling the bias. The findings revive Republican criticism of former Attorney General Merrick Garland, who previously rejected accusations that DOJ disadvantaged Christians.
