In April, Jefferson County inspectors scored establishments from 61 to 100; 19 scored 84 or lower and 61 earned perfect scores.
Valley Hotel - Restaurant and Main Bar in Homewood had the lowest score, 61, before improving to 89 on reinspection, while Save More & Grill rose from 67 to 96.
Problems included rodents, roaches, unsafe food temperatures, poor sanitation and missing hot water. Establishments scoring 60 or below must close immediately under Jefferson County health rules.
