At Churchill Downs in Louisville on 30 April, racegoers watched races, placed wagers and filled paddock and grandstand areas two days before Derby day.
Photos showed mint juleps, Oaks Lily cocktails, cigars and elaborate hats, with some attendees in themed outfits including Muhammad Ali and Colonel Sanders-inspired looks.
The event also drew crowds to morning training on the backside, where spectators watched Derby and Oaks horses prepare during the final stretch of Kentucky Derby week.
