In letters to Representative James Comer and Senator Rand Paul, the group said it found 188 local opposition groups in 24 states and cited more than $13 million in environmental grant funding.
It alleged a coordinated, possibly foreign-backed campaign is obstructing AI and data-centre construction, which it says is vital to US economic competitiveness, national defence and President Donald Trump's infrastructure agenda.
The group named several environmental organisations opposing projects, while acknowledging some local concerns are legitimate; critics argue data centres strain power, water and communities despite promises of jobs and tax revenue.
