A 25-year-old man is in a life-threatening condition after the early-hours shooting on Coldharbour Lane in south London, while three others aged 21, 47 and 70 were also injured.
Met Police said officers responded to reports of a firearm discharge and have made no arrests as detectives investigate what the senior investigating officer called an act of indiscriminate violence.
Police urged witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and said there would be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.
