US Space Force names 12 companies for Golden Dome interceptor development

The April 24 roster includes SpaceX, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and Anduril under agreements worth up to $3.2 billion combined.
The companies will work in different areas to develop and deliver Space-Based Interceptor prototypes for testing, with separate full-scale production contracts expected later at much higher cost.
Golden Dome is a multilayer Pentagon defence system intended to protect US territory from drones and ballistic, hypersonic and cruise missile attacks.
