Baker’s Relish doubles weekly production and expands workforce

After receiving GH¢100,000 under an AfDB-backed Ghana recovery programme, the Sunyani bakery raised output from 20-25 to 40 flour bags and increased permanent staff to 27.
Founder Florence Ofori-Agyeman said the funding helped the business buy flour and sugar in bulk amid rising costs, improving planning, inventory management and its ability to meet demand.
The bakery has expanded distribution to Dormaa, Goaso, Nkoranza and Accra, while the wider PSDPEP aims to support 25,000 Ghanaian MSMEs with loans capped at about 12% and training.
