Microsoft rolls out redesigned Windows 11 Run menu for Insider testing

The update is now available in the new Experimental Channel, where testers can enable it in Settings under System and Advanced.
Microsoft says the refreshed menu loads faster, supports dark mode and removes the Browse button after finding very low usage, replacing it with a new "~" shortcut to the user directory.
Built using code from PowerToys' Command Palette, the redesign follows preview appearances last year and is part of wider platform work Microsoft says should improve overall Windows efficiency.
