In Los Angeles, Clayton said Scott Erickson called 15 to 20 minutes after the 2020 Westlake Village crash, describing high-speed driving and saying he saw Rebecca Grossman hit Mark, 11, and Jacob Iskander, 8.
Clayton said Erickson told him not to come, then went to Grossman's house before jogging back to the scene; under cross-examination, Clayton said he could not recall whether Erickson used the word "racing."
Grossman is serving 15 years to life after her 2024 murder conviction, while the Iskander family's civil case alleges Grossman and Erickson were racing; the trial is in its second week and expected to last two months.
She was convicted of murder. With that fact hidden from the jury, could her ex-boyfriend now be held responsible?
With secret 'I love you' texts now revealed, will a former MLB star also be blamed for the fatal crash?
