The 72-year-old was charged in Cherokee County with two counts of aggravated assault, hit-and-run, reckless and aggressive driving, and failing to keep safe distance from a bicycle.
Investigators say Ross tailed a North Georgia Cycling Association group on 23 April, honking continuously before his Honda Pilot clipped one rider and hit leader Richard Collins, then sped away.
Collins suffered road rash and a lower-spine fracture, while the cycling association thanked emergency responders and urged motorists to respect three-foot passing rules and share the road safely.
