T-Mobile said it will invest $700 million for a 50% stake with Wren House Infrastructure, with the deal expected to close in the second half of 2026.
The transaction includes all of i3 Broadband's residential fiber customers, and the Jacksonville-based provider serving parts of Illinois and Missouri plans to rebrand as T-Fiber after completion.
The companies have not said whether service will change for customers, though i3's chief executive said staff would continue providing service under T-Mobile's broadband and 5G brand.
