The software is due to be introduced at WWDC on 8 June, with a developer beta expected immediately after and a wider release likely in September.
Reported additions include a dedicated Siri app with conversation history, personalised Apple Intelligence features across Mac and iPad, and touch-friendly controls for future touchscreen Macs.
Apple is also said to prioritise stability and performance, while ending major-version support for Intel Macs and dropping AFP-based storage such as AirPort Time Capsule.
