The shares fell to $154.75 as the S&P 500 rose 0.29% to 7,230.12 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.31% to 49,499.27.
ICE closed 18.27% below its 52-week high of $189.35 reached on 8 August and lagged rivals including CME Group and Cboe Global Markets.
Nasdaq also declined, down 0.64%, while ICE trading volume was 3.2 million shares, about 127,320 below its 50-day average.
