Cerus shares hit 52-week high after first-quarter revenue growth

The stock jumped 26% to an intraday $3.15 before trading at $2.57, after the Concord, California, biotech reported revenue of $59.9 million, above FactSet forecasts.
Cerus posted a net loss of $1.6 million, or 1 cent a share, improving from a $7.7 million loss, while product revenue rose 24% to $53.7 million.
Shares are up about 25% this year, with the results suggesting stronger sales momentum as the company sharply narrowed losses versus the same quarter last year.
