Reddit weekly search users rise 30% after AI feature investments

CEO Steve Huffman said search is boosting acquisition and retention as Reddit reached 493 million weekly active users and 126 million daily active users in the first quarter.
Revenue rose to $663 million, ahead of Wall Street expectations, while U.S. daily users increased 7% to 53.5 million and international daily users jumped 26% to 73.3 million.
Reddit began testing product placements in AI search results in the US in February, and said machine translation across more than 30 languages has also helped drive growth.
