Creative Assembly reveals massive planets and battle maps for Total War Warhammer 40k

In a Show and Tell livestream, the studio showed 360-degree planets, system-level campaigns and maps packed with buildings, crashed ships and anti-air fire.
It also confirmed destructible environments include collapsing buildings onto units, while biome variants, cover zones and new assault, defence and directional deployment options aim to boost replayability.
The reveal expands on earlier details about terrain destruction as a major shift for the series, with more information on the game's wider campaign map expected in June.
