India records highest-ever monthly GST collection in April 2026

Gross receipts reached ₹2.43 trillion, topping April 2025's ₹2.23 trillion record, while net collections were about ₹2.11 trillion after refunds of ₹31,793 crore.
Import-related GST revenue jumped 25.8% to ₹57,580 crore, far outpacing 4.3% growth in domestic transaction revenue to more than ₹1.85 trillion.
The figures extend monthly collections above ₹2 trillion and follow FY2025-26 gross GST revenue of ₹22.27 trillion, though state growth varied sharply from Maharashtra and Karnataka to smaller Puducherry.
