The poll found 78% opposed diverting School Aid Fund money and 93% wanted the legislature to meet the July 1 school budget deadline.
The opinion piece says more than $1.3bn was diverted from K-12 funding this year, costing classrooms over $900 per pupil after last year's budget passed in October.
It also said 83% support funding that keeps pace with inflation, while more than 75% would back freezing lawmakers' pay if they miss the deadline again.
