The 44-year-old actor said on the McBride Rewind podcast that streaming has largely replaced syndication, leaving performers with little or no meaningful residual income.
Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner from 1987 to 1995, said residuals were once stronger from reruns, cable and DVD sales but are now unreliable and too small to live on.
Her comments add to wider complaints from actors that hit shows on streaming platforms generate far lower follow-on pay than traditional television models once did.
