The 6-foot-1 East Palo Alto native beat Berto in his first SmackDown match after entering WWE as a surprise Royal Rumble entrant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Keys told Fox News Digital he briefly worked dark matches before becoming a regular Friday-night SmackDown roster member and now aims for either the Undisputed WWE or United States title.
His rise follows years on the independent scene and AEW, while he has said personal hardship, including his mother's fatal overdose in 2021, shaped his drive and in-ring intensity.
