Navy authorizes NWU Type III in Pentagon and eases office dress rules

Effective immediately, sailors fleetwide get more flexibility, while from 4 May NWU Type III is allowed in the Pentagon and NCR headquarters offices under an April 26 NAVADMIN.
For E-7 sailors and above, wearing the Service Dress Blues or Eisenhower jacket in office buildings is now optional, and the black garrison cap may replace the combination cover.
The change, authorized by acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao, excludes flight suits except on flight duty days, leaves non-Navy staff subject to local rules, and keeps service dress required for Capitol Hill and other outside engagements.
