Olivia Honeycutt plans law and policy studies after graduation

The MIT senior, majoring in computation and cognition and linguistics, says she wants to improve literacy and expand opportunities for underserved students through education reform.
Her work has spanned language, brain science, AI and policy, including 2025 MISTI trips to South Africa and Edinburgh and a 2024 policy internship in Washington.
Honeycutt said she hopes to pursue law school and public policy, using research on language acquisition, linguistic diversity and learning to shape legislation for students, families and communities.
