The Steam release revives the 1995 fighting game with nine-player lobbies, but SNK did not announce a launch date.
The port keeps the original graphics and gameplay while adding Practice Mode tools such as speed adjustment and hitbox display, plus online tournament formats including single elimination, double elimination and round robin.
Part of SNK's NEO GEO Premium Selection, the release also includes Gallery Mode, achievements and all 19 fighters, including hidden characters such as Zeus, Son Goku and NEO-DIO.
