The film is projected to open at $80 million-plus over the four-day US Memorial Day weekend beginning 22 May, the franchise's first big-screen release in nearly seven years.
That would put it around 2018's Solo at $84 million and well below recent Star Wars debuts ranging from $155 million to $248 million.
