The Outer Worlds gets major update and free Spacer’s Choice upgrades

  • On 27 May, Obsidian will add grenades and delist the base game, while cutting Spacer’s Choice Edition to $40 from $60 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
  • Players who already own the base game will keep it and receive Spacer’s Choice free, while the patch also brings performance, lighting, quest and gameplay fixes after smaller updates released today.
  • On Xbox One and PS4, players need both DLCs to qualify for the upgrade, though the paid upgrade path is ending and the DLCs are getting permanent discounts.
