The shares closed at $309.23 on Thursday as the S&P 500 rose 1.02% to 7,209.01 and the Dow gained 1.62% to 49,652.14.
Waters beat peers including Thermo Fisher Scientific, up 2.72% to $478.96, and Danaher, up 0.08% to $178.95, while GE Aerospace rose 2.24%.
Despite the gain, Waters remains 25.33% below its 52-week high of $414.15 reached on 25 November, while trading volume of 1.2 million topped its 50-day average.
