The league said markets tied to officiating, injuries and fan actions could be manipulated, and called for stronger data sharing, suspicious-trading alerts and cooperation with league investigations.
The submission came as the CFTC closed a public comment period that drew nearly 1,500 responses, while rivals including MLB, NHL and UFC have struck prediction-market partnerships.
