Code Pink protester interrupts Hegseth Senate testimony and is arrested

At the armed services committee hearing, the activist stood behind US defence secretary Pete Hegseth with a “No War on Iran” sign before Capitol Police removed him.
As officers led him away, he shouted that Hegseth should be arrested and said Americans did not want a war with Iran or to fight one for Israel.
The disruption came after ranking Democrat Jack Reed criticised Hegseth’s claims on the conflict as “dangerously exaggerated”, underscoring political and activist opposition to the US war on Iran.
