McDonald's stock rises 1.21% in strong trading session

Shares closed at $293.59 on Thursday as the S&P 500 gained 1.02% to 7,209.01 and the Dow rose 1.62% to 49,652.14.
McDonald's outperformed Starbucks and Yum Brands, though Chipotle posted a bigger 3.03% gain. Trading volume reached 4.1 million shares, above its 50-day average of 3.2 million.
Despite the advance, the stock remains 14.09% below its 52-week high of $341.75, reached on 2 March.
