Grapevine police said the 23-year-old former employee processed 800 fake mac-and-cheese refunds to his own credit cards after being fired, and was captured on 17 April.
Authorities said Jones evaded officers multiple times before a Texas attorney general fugitive task force and Fort Worth police helped arrest him on theft, money laundering and evading charges.
The alleged fraud occurred on Black Friday, 28 November 2025, at a Grapevine franchise; Jones, from McKinney, remained in Tarrant County custody, while Chick-fil-A said it was cooperating.
