San Francisco night markets return to three neighborhoods in May

The Mission, Chinatown and Richmond will host monthly evening festivals through summer, with Chinatown and Valencia Live running to October and Richmond on third Saturdays through August.
Organisers and merchants say the events drive foot traffic, extend trading hours and support small businesses with food, music, arts and cultural programming; Richmond adds more food vendors and a second stage.
The city launched the markets three years ago, and Mission organisers said last year's inaugural Valencia Live season drew more than 40,000 people, helping residents discover neighbourhood shops, restaurants and public art.
