  • Prosecutors said Talley, arrested after an armed Family Dollar robbery, feigned swallowing narcotics to reach hospital care, then pulled a gun from under a blanket, shot both officers and tried to escape.
  • Talley faces murder, attempted murder and other charges, had a nearly decade-long violent record, was on pretrial release in another armed robbery case, and is due back in court on 20 May.
