From Monday, K-8 students must keep phones off and away all day, while high schoolers may use them only at lunch and between classes.
Superintendent Ben Shuldiner said the rules aim to improve outcomes with an enforceable policy, citing open campuses that make a full-day high school ban difficult to police.
