Wizards of the Coast will sell the 2-4 player game on Secret Lair from 1 June for $24.99, with a first playable showing at MagicCon Las Vegas.
Rosewater said he has pursued the concept since 1998, stripping out mana, life points and deckbuilding so players share one deck and aim to win three rounds.
Each box contains 45 random cards from a 133-card pool, using Magic's colour system and sketch art while remaining separate from the Magic multiverse.
