In an almost 3,000-square-foot home with more than 100 smart devices and 1Gbps service, the upgrade replaced a two-router setup that still suffered buffering and dropped connections.
The report says router placement, nearby obstacles, Wi-Fi extenders, powerline adapters and MoCA wiring can all help, but mesh works best for persistent whole-home coverage problems.
