Google Workspace upgrades Gemini in Sheets and expands Meet AI summaries

At Cloud Next 2026, Google said Sheets can now build dashboards conversationally, while Meet summaries and action items extend to in-person meetings and Zoom and Teams calls.
Google said 110 million Meet attendees used Take Notes For Me in the past month, up 8.5 times year on year, and Gemini Enterprise adds Canvas Mode for brand-aligned documents and presentations.
The company also said Microsoft 365 migrations to Workspace are now up to five times faster through interoperability changes including an AI-powered Office macro converter, as Gemini shifts toward more agentic assistance.
