The 20-year-old Andover woman was found dead in February 2024, one year and one day after Rosario Dos Reis raped her in Southampton's Palmerston Park.
An inquest returned an open conclusion, while her family said the assault drove nightmares, PTSD-like trauma and drug use despite police support and Dos Reis's later jailing for eight years and four months.
Her relatives are urging longer-term support for sexual violence survivors; Rape Crisis said anniversaries can be especially difficult, and the Home Office said Dos Reis will be deported when possible.
