Kyushu Electric Power reports higher FY2026 net profit

The Japanese utility posted net profit of Y154.54 billion for the year ended 31 March, versus Y128.77 billion a year earlier, while revenue fell to Y2.25 trillion from Y2.36 trillion.
Operating profit rose to Y224.85 billion from Y199.56 billion, pretax profit increased to Y207.06 billion from Y194.67 billion, and earnings per share climbed to Y314.65 from Y260.14.
The results were prepared under Japanese accounting standards, showing improved profitability despite lower annual revenue.
