In Kyrgyzstan, he met Russia's Andrei Belousov, while in Belarus he discussed the Middle East with Viktor Khrenin.
Russia and Belarus both said the conflict should be resolved through diplomacy and negotiations, while Minsk and Tehran signalled interest in deepening defence cooperation.
The meetings came as Vladimir Putin hosted Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Moscow and said Russia would do all it could to help Tehran.
