Leaker Instant Digital said the device was dropped after weak iPad Pro demand, as Apple’s tablet business made up 6.73% of total revenue in 2025.
The M4 iPad Pro’s 2024 shipment forecast was cut to 6.7 million units from as many as 10 million, with analysts blaming $999 and $1,299 starting prices.
Bloomberg previously reported Apple was developing a roughly 20-inch foldable iPad for 2028 or later, but engineering hurdles, a possible $3,900 price and product-line confusion clouded its future.
