A Johannesburg court fined Bellarmine Mugabe $36,000 and ordered his immediate deportation after he pleaded guilty to pointing a firearm and illegal immigration.
His cousin Tobias Matonhodze received a three-year prison sentence for attempted murder, illegal immigration, and other charges following the February shooting of a worker at Mugabe's Hyde Park home.
The gun used in the incident remains missing. Mugabe, son of Zimbabwe’s late leader Robert Mugabe, has faced previous legal issues in Zimbabwe, including assault charges in 2024 and 2025.
