Fossilized vertebrae of Vasuki indicus, dating to 47 million years ago, were found in Gujarat, India, by researchers Debajit Datta and Sunil Bajpai.
The snake, estimated at 11 to 15 meters long, rivals the size of Titanoboa and likely used ambush tactics similar to modern anacondas.
