BofA upgrades TFI International to buy, citing a projected 400-500 basis point improvement in consolidated operating ratio and 6% year-over-year growth in April shipments-per-day.
The less-than-truckload segment is expected to outperform historical averages, with operating ratio improvement of 600-700 basis points. TFI International shares rose 7% to C$201.77 following the upgrade.
Shipments-per-day rebounded from a 10% decline in January to 8% growth in March, highlighting a sustained recovery. The positive outlook reflects both cyclical and structural upside for TFI’s trucking operations.
