Ukraine and Norway jointly produce thousands of mid-strike drones

The drones will be manufactured in Norway and delivered to Ukraine’s military, with first systems expected by summer 2026, funded by additional Norwegian support beyond its $7 billion pledge.
The agreement, signed in Kyiv, follows an April 14 defense declaration and includes broader industrial cooperation and research. Norwegian Defense Minister Sandvik said the partnership strengthens both countries’ security and production capacity.
Norway is among Ukraine’s largest per capita donors, committing $28 billion in support through 2030. The joint drone project aims to bolster Ukraine’s battlefield capabilities and deepen strategic ties amid ongoing conflict with Russia.
