Alison King, a social media manager, was dismissed after posting a video expressing regret that President Trump survived the April 25 shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
UnitedHealthcare stated that such comments are inconsistent with its values and confirmed the employee is no longer with the company. The suspected shooter, Cole Tomas Allen, was arrested and faces life in prison.
The incident occurred during Trump's first attendance as president at the event. UnitedHealthcare's CEO, Brian Thompson, was previously killed in a separate, politically motivated shooting in December 2024.
