Pokémon GO Fest: Global 2026 introduces free Mega Mewtwo X and Y event

The event runs July 11-12, 2026, marking the first time Pokémon GO Fest: Global is completely free and debuts Mega Mewtwo X and Y.
Players can unlock Mega Mewtwo Energy by battling in new Super Mega Raid Battles, with every Mewtwo caught from these raids having at least one Mega Level unlocked and able to Mega Evolve without energy.
The Mega System will be updated to allow power leveling using excess Mega Energy, and in-person events in Chicago, Copenhagen, and Tokyo will offer early access to Mega Mewtwo evolutions before the global event.
