The National Energy Administration reports China now produces 1.7 million mt of sustainable aviation fuel, 700,000 mt of green ammonia, and 380,000 mt of green methanol annually.
This expansion, prompted by Middle East supply risks, also includes increased crude oil production and imports in early 2026, with processing volumes reaching 181.7 million mt.
