The French industrial-gases company reported gas-and-services revenue of 6.595 billion euros, slightly below analyst expectations of 6.63 billion euros for the business segment.
Air Liquide's overall revenue also missed analyst consensus of 6.825 billion euros, but the company reaffirmed its annual outlook, aiming for a 100 basis point operating margin increase and recurring net profit growth.
The revenue growth was driven by strong performance in its core gas and services businesses, which constitute the majority of group sales, highlighting continued resilience in the industrial gases sector.
